The nlyte® manages configuration and capacity of the entire datacenter, providing you with a detailed inventory, a relationship-mapping engine and advanced automated functionality. Core to the datacenter module is the centralized repository of all IT assets, with full lifecycle management and optimization intelligence.

 

The nlyte® Datacenter Module will provide you with detailed asset definition and intelligent management functionality. Each 'asset type' record includes standard information common to all assets, as well as information relating to each individual piece of equipment. Defined asset types automatically show links to other entities within the Organization Module, which allows the mapping of relationships.

Real-time integration of nlyte® into existing IT environment

It is important that the data managed within nlyte® is easy to share with third party Datacenter management applications. nlyte® has been designed to sit within a federated CMDB environment - where openness, robustness, and standardization are key.
nlyte® is ready to form part of any existing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) out-of-the-box. nlyte® provides web services methods to achieve bi-directional data integration providing simple access to core nlyte® data. As shown in the diagram below. Full documentation is provided and technical support is available as arranged.
The nlyte® system is built on industry standard technologies such as Microsoft .Net and SQL Server 2005 providing a standard architecture to fit the integration requirements of any organization.
Integration to the nlyte® system is usually achieved through the use of the standard set of “Application Programming Interface (API’s)” providing a flexible interface for two-way data transport.

 

Energy efficiency & cost savings

Taking into consideration the identification and de-commissioning of redundant systems and servers in the enterprise datacenter, the next logical step is to place a value upon the savings in relation to those assets.

The nlyte® Workflow Module enables you to undertake processes within the datacenter in a controlled way and in such a manner that processes can easily be replicated in future, ensuring transparency for the client and management.
You can also manage progress of each task, to find out who is working on the request and to establish what stage of the workflow process has been reached at any given point. It is also possible to ascertain who is responsible for an asset or service running on a particular asset and how to contact that person in a service interruption situation.
